After you try and neglect to enter a password into an iOS device enough times it starts to force a delay earlier your next try--so y'all can't automate the process and try a zillion options. The delay gets longer the more than you lot try.
This happened to me once when I had a bluetooth keyboard in my backpack (on) and an iPad--the pressure level of stuff in the backpack was turning on the iPad and entering any characters again and again!
The solution is to wait the stated amount of time and utilize the correct countersign...

Same thing happens to me very occasionally with my iPhone 10 (whose screen can be woken up by taps on the screen itself) while it is in my pocket.

Yesterday, there was another supplemental update to the Mac OS 10.14.6. information technology is the second supplimental update since the release of Bone 10.14.6. This morning, my e-mail account wants a double hallmark with password. It is around the 10th fourth dimension this has happened and again, it was a mess. I typed the password that is the password. It refused the password - I had to call a number to get an hallmark to change once more my password. I did not change it though considering mysteriously, for no reason my e-mail service is workable. Is this the new normal for Mac users? Am I the only 1 experiencing this type of complication?

The iPad in DFU style tin be used to get out of situations like these if you lot cannot wait it out. Some reports of a baby hitting the wrong passcode until it reached 50 years.
